Motion to rescind previous motion adopted on July 20, 2015 “Commissioner Alderson made a motion to accept the 2015-2016 General Purpose School Fund and the 2015-2016 General Fund with a .08 cent tax increase for the schools and a .02 cent tax increase for general employees. Seconded by Commissioner Mead. Motion carried on roll call vote.

Motion to rescind previous motion adopted on July 20, 2015 “Commissioner Alderson made a motion to accept the 2015-2016 Channel 95 Fund, Ambulance Fund, Tourism Fund and Highway Fund as submitted.” Motion carried on roll call vote.

Motion to exceed the certified tax rate as $2.7589 on each $100.00 of taxable property within the boundaries of the City of Clinton; $2.5945 on each of the taxable property within the boundaries of the City of Oak Ridge; and $2.7903 on each $100.00 of the taxable property in Oliver Springs, Rocky Top, Norris, and Rural Anderson County.

The Anderson County Board of Commissioners of Anderson County, Tennessee will conduct a public hearing on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. on the county’s intent to exceed the certified property tax rate. The Anderson County Board of Commissioners and the Nominating Committee are looking for citizens who would like to serve on the following committees:

Anderson County Conservation Board
One (1) member, filling an unexpired term, ending 12/2015

The Conservation Board is composed of five (5) members appointed by the legislative body. The board’s guidelines are detailed in Tennessee Code Annotated 11-21-101 and a summary would be to oversee parks and recreation. All applicants must be residents of Anderson County.

Interested residents can send a resume or pick up a request to serve form at the County Commission Office, Courthouse, 100 N. Main Street, Room 118, Clinton, posted outside the office door, at the Anderson County Government web site www.andersontn.org or contact the Commission Office at 463-6866.
